HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGER - A YOUNG INSPIRATION

You must have heard/read a lot about a 35 or 40 years old person having so much of experience and a great personality with an intellect to leave everyone awestruck. But there are only few who get this by their hard work at early stages of life.
There is a boy from Delhi who is in his early 20’s and he is an H.R. manager of UMEED(NGO) . Mr. Palash Jain , the young H.R ,and you can depict his perspective about thime utilisation by his statement:

I joined UMEED on 28th Dec,2014, when I joined the working days were Sundays only so I thought of utilising them ,plus I was getting a platform to do photography, which is my passion.

When asked about his X-Factor which brought the best out of him and made him stand unique and different amongst others. He smiled and said, “There is no such X-Factor in me, it’s just that the point on which I joined UMEED as a Photographer, I wasn’t mentally stable, and to get stable and stay stable I thought that I should do something that could firm my mentality, thinking and my thoughts so I started giving direction to my thoughts which made me more negative and at a point when I started to indulge myself in good activities, I think that brought the actual change which I am having today.

Being the HR manager of an organisation is not really an easy task. When asked about the human resource dealing and then the strategies that he applies that’s what he answered:

"We are working with 20,000 people. Everyone is coming from different mindset and different society so to make them one and work together is something which is a major problem with our NGO and it is not an easy task to change thinking in just a second.

But i try to manage it well.

The only strategy I apply is that I firstly analyse and observe, and then talk to them.

It is Inspiring that a person deals with thousands of people with strategies and work for the organisation. When I ask about his feelings for the job, his position, this is what he answered.

“I feel proud and I feel that I am doing my bit in everything- for myself, for my organisation and for my society as well. And it feels different , as I have so much of power in my hand. My signature is being used in Symbiosis(Pune), so I feel like yes I am doing Something good.

This isn’t enough to leave everyone amazed. He have got medal for Best Photographer, then an award for Best Mentor and most probably the department which he is handling will be getting the award for Best Department soon.

Well, initially there are all new atmosphere when we join an organisation and then we face numerous situations which we call HURDLES.

When asked about what hurdles he faced. He answered,

“Major hurdles were. Earlier this organisation had so many loop holes, like there were internal problems in the core team so that was the major thing. What I faced was If I had to convey any message to the senior no one used to listen and everyone was like I’ll do it on my own, I don’t need to ask anyone or any senior, so it was the difficult part.

“Do you believe in go with the flow?“, I asked. To which he answered,“

“No, I don’t believe in Go with the flow, I believe in to go in to opposite flow so that we know where we are going, you don’t need to follow everyone or anyone. We need to make our own paths.“

There are some steps which were taken by Mr. Palash which resulted in the good hierarchy system and better managerial activities.

There would be some expectations that he must be having, when asked. That’s what he answered. “to promote me to GENERAL MANAGER. Plus I would like to continue with UMEED only, because I want to work. I have started working here and I have got a platform here only, So I would like to Continue here.“

And lastly when asked about his journey till now he ended up saying that,

“When I was told that I was being given the post of H.R. manager, my first thing was that to change the mindset of core team. And from that day, my relation with each member of the team has been good. And it’s totally different from where I started, I started as a volunteer on 28th dec,2014 and on 14th January 2015 I was declared as an official Photographer of Umeed. And then after few months I continued as an H.R. manager, which I never expected that I would become H.R. manger of Umeed at such an early phase of my life. And I’ve come far away from ANGRY YOUNG MAN to WISE YOUNG MAN. I’ve learned alot.“

“It was adventurous and worthy journey till now“, he added.
